STOP OVERDOSE IL AND OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS

ABOUT STOP OVERDOSE IL

Who We Are

We are a coalition of concerned citizens, individuals and organizations directly impacted by Illinois’s overdose crisis.

HISTORY

Stop Overdose IL began as a partnership to remember those lost to overdose on
International OD Awareness Day led by Roosevelt University’s Illinois Consortium on Drug Policy (ICDP).  The Consortium worked to organize individuals, nonprofits and other directly impacted by overdose.  Chicago Recovery Alliance trained many of our community partners in naloxone and OD prevention. Stop Overdose IL became a way to spread the word about overdose prevention and Live4Lali helped to make this website possible. Today, Stop Overdose IL is conducting naloxone training in many parts of the state and spreading the word about Illinois’s lifesaving policies like naloxone access and the Good Samaritan law.
